The broadcast storm filter prevents one single station from flooding the network with broadcast packet. MAC-based Trucking allows combining several ports to multiply the speed of one link. The QoS function allows certain port to have more priority than others. Finally port mirror is provided to allow MIS to sniff the packet of each port for diagnostic purpose.

The Ether-GSH8TW+ v2 allows user to configure the switch or firmware upgrade through local LAN or over the Internet from web browser. In addition, the RS-232 console port allows you to configure basic operations of the switch.
